Speaker Expectations for Live Q&A SessionsĀ
Thank you for agreeing to speak to our members-only Catch the Moon Music classes (6 Figure Songwriting, Access Course and Legacy. As you know, Catch the Moon helps educate songwriters, producers, singers, and artists that are focused on success in licensing their music, navigate their way through the process. We are excited for you to help educate the attendees in your specific area of expertise!
Below are some things to remember as well as helpful information:
- You will receive $200 via the PayPal account information you’ve submitted, within 2 weeks after the event. So please get us the email address you use for PayPal.
- Throughout your presentation, we ask that you not push the sale of any course, group products, etc. You may mention your course, group products, etc. at the end of your Facebook Live, but please be respectful
- You may be asked to listen to a few songs and critique them during the call if there’s some remaining time. If this is something you’d like to opt out please let us know.
- Feel free to engage with the audience. Students love to be able to talk directly with you.
- One of the CTM members will be on the call to moderate students, audio, questions, etc. He/she will introduce you at the beginning and stay on the call the whole time, so you won’t have to do this alone.
- If you’d like to give out an email address for students to follow up with you, please feel free. We never give out your email address unless you say it’s ok. If you’d rather not make that available that’s fine as well.
- The event will be over the Zoom app, and will be about 60-70 mins long. If you don’t have Zoom already installed, please download it and start an account. It’s totally free. https://zoom.us/
- This Zoom call will be recorded and made available for the CTM students that weren’t able to join the session.
- Please test out Zoom prior to the class starting to make sure your audio and video works well. We don’t recommend doing this from your mobile device, rather a laptop or desktop.
- Please ensure your have a decent camera (most built in laptop cameras will work just fine)
- We suggest turning off the auto adjust audio feature (in settings), and adjust your mic level manually.
- We appreciate it if you find a well lit, quiet space with great fast internet to do the call.
- Log into the Zoom call 5m early, and our moderator will make sure any of your a/v questions are addressed.
The attendees are eager to learn from professionals in the industry like yourself. For most of our guest there’s really no preparation needed prior to the call, because our student questions keep the conversation going. So there’s really no pressure. That being said, if you have something specific you’d like to talk about, please feel free! We hope to make this an awesome experience for all you and the attendees!
